Meetings
General membership meetings feature a guest speaker, refreshments, and social time. Guests and new members are always welcome.

When: 7:00 pm on the second Thursday of February-April and September-November
McHenry County Audubon's Annual Meeting takes place at 5:30 pm on the third Sunday of January.
Board Meetings are held via Zoom at 6:30 pm on the 4th Monday of February, April, June, August, and October and the 2nd Monday of December. All members in good standing are welcome to attend board meetings. Contact mcaudubon@gmail.com if you are interested in attending.
Bird Walks
Bird walks are held throughout the year, especially in spring and fall. Visit the Online Calendar to view upcoming bird walks.
Our members also lead Public Bird Walks at Illinois Department of Natural Resources' sites: Volo Bog State Natural Area, McHenry Dam, Moraine Hills, and Chain-o-Lakes State Parks. Email dnr.volobog@illinois.gov to request the DNR schedule.
Spring and Christmas Bird Counts
Spring Bird Count takes place on a Saturday - May 4th or the Saturday right after the 4th. Christmas Bird Count is on a Saturday - December 14th or the Saturday right after the 14th.
